I came from a very devoted family to Jesus. Our big family lives in this very old fashioned town down south of Virginia. My dad is happened to be a member of our church parishioners. All of my sisters and brothers are also the member of our church choir. Sunday service is always the favorite time for people lives in that small town. People will comes to the church and greet each other on their way. Ladies are exchanging their own cooked cookies. Then they will enter and sit according to their usual church seating arrangement. What a lovely sight to see. I leave my home town last year for my career pursue. I had no choice but to say good bye to the rest of my big family and my lovely home town and that beautiful church.

I miss my church's Sunday service. It is not just the same here in big city. It doesn't mean that the service is not good. They have lovely peoples there. But there are something missing compared to the church back home in down south of Virginia. I only came to realized that I haven't been able to go back there since the day one I arrived in this big city. So one Friday night I decided that I will go back to visit my family back home on the very next Saturday. I just couldn't stand any longer. I just miss them so much.

So I get myself to the train station in the next morning and get me bump into the train immediately. It took me nearly 7 hours for me to get there. The weather was nice and I just couldn't be happier for seeing my family again. It was showering outside when I arrived and knocked the door. It happened to be mom who opens it for me. She smile so wide and warm and quickly gather my hands to get into the house. They are just had dinner right before I came. My dad gave me his bear hug. God, I love my family. During dinner, I told them that my sudden visit was just because I want to be in the Sunday's service on our church. My parent is so happy to hear what I just said.

I woke up early in the morning. I just couldn't wait to see my lovely church. We went there walking just across the hill. It merely just 20 minutes walks. Nothing changed since I left this small town last year. Same friendly people that I used to met. But something feels so different. I feel not comfortable with the church chairs I sat on. I moved from one chair to another chair just to find the right one to sit on. I came to notice that it is not only the church chairs, but also the church furniture is not as good as it used to be. Right after Sunday service, I went to my dad and asked him if what I feel is true. He said yes. It does not mean that the church can't afford to get better chairs and furniture to replace the existing one. They have a good financial support from the Southern Church council. But they just could not get the good furniture company to get those they need. I quickly recommend my dad the source that I know. He brought my recommendation to the council and quickly has it reviewed to get immediate approval.

They get the new furniture and chair in the next 2 days when I called my dad on Tuesday. I just feel so happy for the least I can do for my church back home.
